Maintaining a healthy smile is essential for both your self confidence and your long term health. Our restorative dentistry provides durable as well as a natural solutions when one of your teeth is damaged or lost entirely. At Christina Brinda DDS in North Canton, we specialize in comprehensive restorative care, utilizing modern treatments like dental crowns and bridges to bring back full function and beauty to your smile. As your trusted North Canton Dentist, Dr. Christina Brinda and her team are here to guide you through these fundamental options for repairing and replacing teeth.
Dental Crowns: Restoring Strength and Shape
A dental crown, often referred to as a cap, is a custom restoration that completely covers a compromised tooth above the gum line. Its primary function is to restore the tooth’s natural shape, size, strength and appearance. Crowns are necessary in several situations that Dr Christina Brinda is describing below.
| Protecting a Weak Tooth | A crown holds together a tooth fractured by decay or trauma, preventing further breakage. |
| Restoring a Broken Tooth | Used when significant tooth structure is missing or badly worn down. |
| Covering Large Fillings | Used when a cavity is too extensive for a standard filling, leaving insufficient natural tooth material. |
| Supporting a Bridge | Crowns are placed on adjacent natural teeth to serve as anchors for a dental bridge. |
| Finishin an Implant | A crown is the final, visible component placed atop a dental implant post. |
The process of receiving a crown involves two main appointments. During the first appointment, Dr. Christina Brinda prepares the tooth and takes a precise impression after which she places a temporary crown. We fabricate the final, custom crown from durable materials like porcelain, zirconia and Emax. Dr. Christina Brinda then cements the custom crown into place on your second visit. This will leave you with a restoration that looks and feels just like a natural tooth.
Dental Bridges: Replacing Missing Teeth
A dental bridge, a non removable appliance which bridges the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is a great solution which restores both the appearance and the critical function of your bite. This prevents serious long term oral health problems. A typical dental bridge consists of three parts.
| Abutment Teeth | The natural teeth or dental implants on either side of the gap. |
| Crowns | These are cemented onto the abutment teeth, providing strong anchorage for the bridge. |
| Pontics | The artificial tooth or teeth that fill the missing space and are fused to the crowns. |
Replacing missing teeth with a bridge is vital not just for aesthetics, but because it stabilizes your entire mouth. Without replacement, neighboring natural teeth will drift out of position. This will destabilize your bite and accelerating jawbone changes. This is a concern we frequently address as a dentist for dentures.

The Importance of Choosing Professional Restorative Care
Whether you need a crown to save a damaged tooth or a bridge to replace a missing one, choosing quality restorative care is paramount. These permanent treatments last for many years. Dr. Christina Brinda precisely fits every restoration to prevent future decay. She matches it perfectly to your natural tooth color and ensures it contributes to the overall stability and health of your bite. Investing in professional restorative dentistry is the best way to safeguard your smile against further complication.

General Dentist Brinda is the best dentist I ever been to . If you’ve been holding off going to the dentist, whether for just cleaning or getting wisdom teeth out , go here . The staff is so welcoming and friendly and Dr. Brinda is so knowledgeable and walked me through every procedure from start to finish and all the expectations. She is a perfectionist that wants you to look your best and goes out of her way to do just that . I went in for a whitening treatment and cleaning and it was the best experience that I had at a dental practice! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to feel comfortable, well cared for and informed, while receiving best treatment for their smile.

Dr. Brinda is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to! My wife and I live in Michigan and we make the drive every year to go see her because she’s that good! Whether it’s going in for cleaning/whitening or taking care of a cavity, I always have a great experience going here. I’ve never really enjoyed going to the doctor for anything, but I can honestly say I enjoy coming here for my yearly checkups. Dr. Brinda is very knowledgeable and extremely professional, and she goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and cared for. Highly highly recommend!

Dr. Brinda and her amazing office team are lovely; down to earth and outstandingly competent. Their main focus, I have no doubt from all of my visits, is their patient’s oral health. This team is professional and efficient, but also what we all want in a medical team of any sort, very knowledgeable. I truly appreciate all of the care and concern this office has offered me. This is truly a top notch team and one you can thoroughly entrust with your dental health. Thank you to you all.

I personally was shadowing Dr. Brinda's office for my Dental Hygienist Program, and it was an amazing experience! Dr.Brinda and her wonderful team are constantly working to make sure things are sterilized, wiped down, and organized for your visit! There was nobody sitting around, but everyone was helping other people out! Staff at Dr. Brinda's office was respectful, sweet and supportive! Dr. Brinda personally took time with patients, and treated them like a person, not just a patient. She asked recurring patients about an update on their personal lives from the patients last visit, and it was amazing to see the patients smile when she remembered. Overall, from someone who saw behind the scenes of this office, I would gladly come there to visit just to see the amazing work they do. I highly recommend Dr. Brinda's Office!

I normally don’t make recommendations or write testimonials for services rendered. I expect and demand the highest patient care for my hard earned buck, period. I have been a patient for several years. Her team of professionals are exceeding my expectations regarding knowledge, kindness, skills, patient care, and my well being. Beginning from the initial phone call to schedule an appointment, through all of the facets of dental care provided, and processing the insurance payment, each employee earns a five star on my every visit.
