Getting veneers usually requires two dental visits with little or no anesthetic needed during the procedure. The specialist lightly buffes and shapes the teeth to prepare the surface to have enough thickness for the veneer. A mold or impression of the prepared teeth is taken and a shade or color match is selected.
On the second dental visit the specialist prepares the teeth for the bonding cementation process and they permanently cement the veneers. Special instructions are given for the care of the veneers such as proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits.
